The New Bike Ride is a Smashing Success
On Sunday, April 10, the California Deaf Wheelers (CDW) inaugurated its first "Coffee Bike Ride" at the Iron Horse Regional Trail between Dublin and Danville. Twenty-four persons, age ranging from 6 to 70, showed up to participate in this milestone event. After completing the full length of the ride, many participants strongly agreed that it was perfectly designed for anybody. CDW plans various monthly bike outings such as the mountain bike rides, the road bike rides, and occasionally serious and strenuous road bike roads favored by bike racers. Now they have another branch that caters to the desires of those who may be less vigorous but still enjoy bike riding as a recreational pursuit without having to exert too much energy.
